Husqvarna EPOS™ (Exact Positioning Operating System) is a breakthrough technology for Automower® robotic lawn mowers. The satellite-based technology enables the mower to work within virtual boundaries.
The absence of physical boundary wire means no wire breaks and more flexible area management. Perfect for open lawns, sports fields, golf courses, city parks and corporate campuses!
Husqvarna EPOS also enables systematic mowing, offering those cool cutting patterns for your lawn. Stripes, Checkerboard or Triangles, all set from the convenience of your mobile phone.
Connect app
Use your mobile phone and the Automower® Connect app to set up the installation, and define work areas and stay-out zones.
Reference Station
A fixed reference station is required to reach a high precision of the mower’s position. The reference station broadcasts correction data to the mower.
Satellite Signals
Satellite signals are received by both the mower and the reference station. To achieve up to centimetre level accuracy a technique called RTK-GNSS is used. It enhances the precision of satellite position data.
Automower® NERA - with or without a boundary wire
NERA robot lawn mowers can be equipped with wireless technology using the Husqvarna EPOS™ Plug-in kit (optional add on).

Systematic Mowing vs. Irregular Mowing - what's right for you?
All Husqvarna robotic mowers featuring EPOS technology can now cut grass systematically or irregularly.
For open, flat lawns, you can choose from stripes, checkerboards, triangles, or irregular mowing (for that flawless, carpet-like finish).
If your lawn boasts steep terrain and a myriad of obstacles like trees, trampolines, rocks, and passages, irregular mowing is your go-to solution.
When Wire Free Won't Work
No two lawns are the same and sometimes wire-free RTK technology isn't the best fit for your lawn.
The NERA Automowers® are equipped for wired installation.
Using Husqvarna's Automower® Intelligent Mapping (AIM) Technology, your mower will remember your lawn every time it mows and creates a virtual map of your garden. You can then create zones that let you customise your lawn as you choose. Watch its progress, view the boundary & guide wires and make adjustments on the go through the Connect App.
Each zone can have its own schedule and settings.
